Rahul (Jimmy Shergill) an engineer from India goes to Dubal with big dreams. But in realising his dreams, he has to undergo various hurdles. He also falls in love with Neha (Saloni). Finally, with some help from an Indian restaurateur (Rakesh Bedi), he succeeds in achieving his goal.
The film deals with the helpness of the labour class who migrate to the Gulf. Though the subject has some novelty and realism, its treatment is ordinary. The script is inconsistent. It Is not In the least authoritative. And the narrative, in effect, becomes tedious as it progreses. Performances from the principal artistes are superfluous, notably that of Jimmy Shergill, who is otherwise quite efficient. Eventually, the only saving grace is the haunting title song.
Production values are uptothemark.Technically, adequate. The script as stated above is a weak link.Dialogues lack punch.Cinematography is functional.Performancewise, Jimmy Shergill looks jaded at times. Saloni is okay.Rakesh Bedi is passable. Vrajesh Hirjeepasses muster. Mushtaq Khan fills the bill.Directorially, lacklustre.
