Tilo (Aishwarya Rai) is a beautiful Indian woman who works in a San Francisco store called Spice Bazaar.
She is trained In the ancient art of spices and has a magical ability to help out others. But in order to keep her powers
intact, she must never break certain rules. However she breaks these rules when she meets Doug (Dylan). She is drawn towards him and falls in love with him. And
her customers start suffering as a result of her dwindling powers. Tilo is forced to confront her past, her desires and their spices.
Films like 'Monsoon Wedding', 'Bend It Like Beckham' etc had aroused expectations from Indian filmmakers settled abroad. And since this film features Aishwarya Rai, there was immense curiosity.
However, the whole film is so dull that one wonders what inspired Aishwarya to accept it. Its about time she concentrated on quality cinema, than mindlessly opting for any brand of English cinema. The film is a total failure from every angle, except the presence of Aishwarya.
Production values are good.
Technically, okay. The script is dull.
Dialogue are ordinary.
Cinematography is functional.
Performance wise, Aishwarya Rai looks stunning and also does well.
