Kamal Klshore Khosla (Anupam c Kher) has worked hard and honestly and is about to retire. Now Khosla's two sons (Parvin Dabbas)and(Ranvir Shorey) enter the scene. They came with idea to con ever smart Khurana. In this pursuit they take help of theatre guru (Navin Nischol) and theatre actress (Tara Sharma), who is also love mate of Parvin-Dabbas. And also Khurana's overtime partner (Vinay Pathak).
Today is time of humour. And new generation directors are presenting these subjects In their own way. Land grabbing mafia exists In every big city. And it's particularly rampant un Delhi. It's a socially relevant issue, but debutant Dibakar Banerjee presents this contemporary issue with lot of humour and he has laced with strong emotions too. Welcome to
Sai Paranjpye, Kundan Shah style of filmmaking. And for that writer Jaydeep Sahanl and director Dibakar
Banerjee deserve a huge compliment. Director has extracted wonderful performances from all the actors. There are several scenes which leave a lasting impact. Even the romantic angle between Parveen Dabbas and Tara Sharma has been handled with lot of care. And in the end it comes as an enjoyable fare.
Production values are fair. Technically competent. Script and dialogue excellent. Musically all the songs have lot of
meaning. Cinematography good. Performancewlse, if Anupam Kher is excellent then Boman Irani is first rate. One just marvels at his talent.Parvin Dabbas underplays his character very well. Ranvir Shorey Is brilliant. Tara Sharma Is restrained.
Vinay Pathak Is too good. But the real surprise packet Is Navin Nischol. He has given career best performance. Directorially in his very first film Dibakar Banerjee shows that he has got a bright future. At the box office. lack of face value will not help its cause. However mouth publicity should attract gentries to the multiplexes.
