The idea of a surrogate mother is not new to Bollywood. And some such films have enjoyed success too. What this film lacks is a formidable star-line-up. But to be fair to the director, he has extracted good performances from the available resources. The film does have quite a few emotionally charged sequences, but its treatment looks old-fashioned. And further, since it Is aimed at family audiences, the director could have avoided Intimate scenes between Vineet Nanda and Sonica Handa. Perhaps, the plot demanded It. However, overall, the plot looks appropriate fora television serial.
Production values are fair.Technically, okay. The script is sluggish at times. Dialogues are meaningful. Musically, a couple of songs are good. Cinematography is routine.Performancewise, AyeshaJhulka is appropriate. Bhagyashree is competent. Mohnish Behl does well.Aman Verma overacts intermittenUy.Master Smith impresses.Newcomers Vineet Nauda and Soniea Handa
are average.
