Zooni ( Kajol) a blind Kashmiri girl meets Rohan ( Aamir Khan) in Delhi. He is a local tourist guide, who goes from city tocity exploring their architecture. He is also kind of a flirt. Zooni's friends warn her against this good-for nothing roadside Romeo. But she chooses to ignore them. Zooni and Rohan's love back blossoms Rohan tekes her to hospital to get her eyesight. And when Zooni gets back her eyesight there is no sign of Rohan. Because he has another side ot his life which is dark and would destroy the lives of both of them.

Director Kunal Kohli tasted big time success with Hum Tum. It won him awards tool But rather than sticking on the path, he dares to choose a difficult and complex subject. Aamir Khan also takes a risk by choosing an out and out terrorist role. After playing patriot in Lagaan, Mangal Pandey and Rang De Basantl It was always going to be a big risk playing an antl-national hero. The film Is thorougly enjoyable till interval as there are plenty of light entertaining moments and Kunal Kohli who had shown mastery in handling such scenes In Hum Tum is in his elements in those portions.Aamir antics are just too good in these light scenes. However post interval the film loses it's sheen.Script plays a spoilsport here.Confusing characterisation of Aamir Khan also doesn't help in the matter. Too much of liberty has been taken in the screenplay.Emotional scenes lack intensity. Tempo derails alarmingly in the post interval portion but picks up in the last 20minutes..

Production values are top class.Technically very competent.Script is a let down at most of the times. Dialogues laced withlot of Sher-o-Shayari are outstanding. Lyrics are very meaningful. Musically the film has an outstanding song in Chaand Sifarish Mere Haath Mein which is very melodious.Cinematography is brilliant .Action is reathtaking.PerformacewiseAami Khan Is in his elements in the first half and is competent as a terrorist. Kajol does her role with the required grace. RishiKapoor also acts well. Tabu's performance is very lacklustre. Kirron Kher is good. Vrajesh Hirjee acts his part well.
Sharat Saxena does a good job.Master All Haji is excellent. Directorially Kunal Kohli once again shows his spark but is handicapped by a confusing script sometimes.

At the Box office: It has taken a bumper opening all over and will be liked more in big centres and multiplexes.
