In fact, a source close to Bachchan once revealed to us that real cause of Bachchan’s money problem was that, “He was earning in rupees and spending in dollars and pounds!”

In the process, friends (Gandhis) turned foes and he got himself new allies. Aishwarya's new love interest may be Abhishek Bachchan
Barely three days ago, Vivek Oberoi's movie 'Home Delivery' released to a mixed response at the box office, leading to trade circles talking about Vivek Oberoi being a flash in the pan. Now, comes the news that Aishwarya Rai and Vivek Oberoi have split. Vivek was apparently disillusioned with Ash's repeated refusal to publicly acknowledge their relationship. In his interviews to various TV channels last week Vivek was cagey about his relationship and its current status.
 Media reports say Ash has been maintaining a low profile after her return from a shoot in Tunisia for 'Last Legion', a Hollywood film and her first and has been shooting for J.P.Dutta's 'Umrao Jaan' in Jaipur. Industry insiders claim Aishwarya's family never approved of Vivek Oberoi to begin with. Vivek's public confessions of love didn't go down well with them. Nor did the going to Press over the phone calls from Salman Khan. Besides Aishwarya is far more successful today than she was a few years ago and the gap between her and lover boy Vivek Oberoi has increased.
Another factor that has emerged as one of the reasons for the split is the man who many women see as one of the most eligible bachelors in the country - Abhishek Bachchan. Abhishek's career has been a string of seventeen odd flops, some of which didn't even recover their print and publicity costs.
However, the last year has seen a rise in Abhishek's fortunes, riding piggy back on Bachchan Sr's popularity with ‘Bunty aur Babli' and 'Sarkar' doing rather well.
